The Fairy Forest

This weekend I went camping with some friends and planned to visit my cabin Saturday afternoon to see some family at an Open House my uncle has each year.  One of my friends came with me and asked if we could stop by the Fairy Forest on the way back.  You see, I have been going up to my cabin for years and don't usually stop at any of the campgrounds along the way.  And little did I know, there was a Fairy Forest along the way.  Who can pass up the opportunity to go to a Fairy Forest?!?!  Well, there are no signs to this magical secret little place.  We walked through the campground, asked other campers if they knew where it was, and no one knew.  My friend went over to the camp post, who correctly directed us after ensuring we didn't have any paint or trash with us. We soon discovered why...

You see, the Fairy Forest is a land of painted rocks and paths created by campers over the years.  You cross a creek and through a little grove of trees, and come upon a sign: 'Welcome to the Fairy Forest.'

  1. It love it! That looks like a lot of fun. A new stopping place when we go to the cabin.
