Good Books
Lately, I've been reading a bit. I really like reading. I think I tend to not read so much because I get so involved in books. I tend to want to do nothing else. I stay up all hours of the night, decline going out with friends, it's just not good for my social life. So I get into reading these long books - 500, 800 pages. Currently I'm into a series with 5 books - Children of the Promise. They are so captivating. I lose track of time. I think it's a way to escape. I don't know what I'm running away from, but I find myself wishing I could go back in time to be with the characters in the book. I long to be there. A few times last week I even sneaked down to Desert Book and read during my lunch hour. Then I realized I could just bring my own book to work and read during lunch. That gave me more time to read!

Downtown Access
I now have a pass to a parking deck downtown. Do you want to go to a concert? A Jazz game? General Conference? Well, no worries on looking for parking, I've got a reserved spot in the heart of the City.
I always loved taking my dad's parking pass when I'd venture downtown in Atlanta. It was so nice not having to pay for parking. Now I get to do that in Salt Lake!

Done Again
Today I had my last day of work at my second job in the past 3 months. I've had quite the changing life recently. I worked at an internship for 3 weeks, went out of town for the weekend, got injured, accepted a permanent position at a new place, spent 2.5 weeks recovering - mostly out of town, went to work at the new place for a week and a half, went out of town for almost a week and a half, accepted a permanent position at the internship company, continued to work for a week and a half, and that was today! I'm done! I think I've only worked one full week since May 11. During that time, I've left on a Friday, had a Monday holiday, or have been out of town for interviews. That's a lot of travel and a lot of change! So I start at the new old place on Friday and hopefully will work some full weeks and have some stability soon. I'm afraid to go out of town, I'll get a job offer and have to make another hard decision!

Seriously, So Blessed
True, it's the name of a very hilarious blog that I read every once in a while, but those are the words that come to mind when I think of my wonderful friends that I still keep in touch with from college.
I am seriously so blessed!
A few of us were in town together the other night and had a picinic at a nearby park. I love these wonderful ladies and am so happy they are still a part of my life! Thanks for being who you are and for your great examples.
Annual Beach Pilgrimage 2010
The beach came at the perfect time for me this year. I packed my stuff in a big backpack, took up my crutches and tried to look at injured as possible. I got to sit on the front row on both flights, was the first to board the plane and even got a ride in a wheelchair through the Atlanta airport. I admit I felt a lot like my grandma.
Then came the long drive to NC - during which we stopped at every possible restaurant that sold ice cream. And bought some. And ate it. (I think it started with our peach milkshakes at Chick-fil-A...so happy it's peach season!) Well, lots of great things happened on this year's beach trip.
1. Great house - with two kitchen faucets and three sinks - I think it's a must have for any kitchen
2. Great weather - we gratefully missed the heat wave of the previous and preceeding weeks
3. Great people - I just love my family, what more can I say?
4. Great books to read - Children of the Promise series, Chick-fil-A Truett Cathy autobiography, The Help - highly recommend all three
5. Great food - you just can't eat better tasting food, we have some talented chefs in the family
6. Great games - are you 'cookie'??? 'Ligretto!' 'do you see any pieces for the white picket fence?'
7. Great photo ops...the results of which are below....
